Bishop Pope is the Executive Director of the Bishop Williams Community Center, a ministry enhancing the quality of one’s life through various social and educational programs. His service with various affiliations includes being a member of the United States Chaplains Association; Church Liaison for Rising Stars, a program of the Salem County Community College that prepares minority youth for collegiate academic success, and as a member of the World Heritage Council of Philadelphia area television station WYBE. He holds memberships in the Carney’s Point/Penns Grove Community Alliance, and the Penns Grove/Carney’s Point Ministerium.
God has favored Bishop Pope to be the recipient of numerous awards and honors. Such recognition includes the Mayor’s Award of Penns Grove, New Jersey for outstanding civic contribution; a Proclamation from the Borough of Penns Grove commemorating his twenty-five years in the Ministry; the State of New Jersey Volunteer of the Year Award, and the Salem County Municipal Alliance Volunteer of the Year. He has also received citations from the state of New Jersey Legislative Senate and General Assembly for his involvement in the community. He is listed in the Outstanding Young Men of America, the Who’s Who of African-Americans and the Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals. He is also the recipient of the NAACP 2000 Freedom Fund Award of the New Jersey Salem County branch.
Bishop Pope’s educational accomplishments include completing a certificate program from the Back To The Bible Correspondence School; receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from Temple University, and being conferred a Doctorate of Divinity degree from the International Christian University. He is happily married to his childhood sweetheart and companion in life and ministry, Pastor Audrey Pope and is the father of Anthony, Jazmine and Chaz.
